One more show…
It’s my last day in the beautiful South. I play tonight in Atlanta and fly home tomorrow morning at 7am, where I will collapse into the arms of my family. It’s been a good time out here; kind people, enjoyable shows. Had a great time playing the last 3 shows with Antje Duvekot, who deeply impressed me as a writer, performer and person. I also have a new favorite radio station – If you’re out in the ATL area, give a listen to AM 1040, Spice Radio. I’m a sucker for Bollywood music, and they pump it out in great quantity. You can also stream from their website.
In other news, there’s an interview and some live footage here at MindTV.org.

My wife and I had a great time at Park Tavern tonight. I know it was a strange venue, but you put on a great show, nevertheless.
Sorry if the crowd didn’t react quite how you might’ve expected to the talk about the current administration. Atlanta’s a very conservative, Republican town, much like the rest of the state/south. It can be a very frustrating place to live and work if you’re not a Bush fanatic.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for coming through town and playing a terrific show–we look forward to your next visit!

The south is beautiful. I have visited there often. My dad would like to retire to Asheville. I did my internship (many moons ago) in Columbia, SC. Loved it!! Great city.
Have fun, and have a safe trip home. I have enjoyed your blog. I have also begun one of my own. Stop by sometime.
Ciao bello,

My friend Greg and I enjoyed your shows in Athens and Atlanta so much! You are truly an inspiring singer/songwriter/musician and put on an awesome and personal show. Those of us who are fans and came to the Park Tavern last night to enjoy your music were disappointed by the crowd who were there for reasons unrelated to the music. Their talking and beach ball tossing were embarrassing. Don’t let that discourage you from returning. Given the proper venue and a non “radio-sponsored free concert,” your true fans would have the opportunity to come out and give you a proper Atlanta welcome. (And actually relate to political/world event discussions) Safe travels back to CA, enjoy your time with your family and keep making great music. Hope to see you in this area again soon!
Fly safe, collapse gracefully (or not, and be caught by your brood anyway) and get some well-earned rest. See you at Largo in a couple of days! YAY!

Thanks for the heads up on the Spice Radio. I read an article not too long ago that talked about how listening to 30 minutes of Indian music a day lowered blood pressure.
I’m feeling more relaxed already. . .
take care!

Glad all is well- looking forward to more great music!
