Glen’s brother Dan here. A little while ago, Glen posted remix-ready multitracks of “The Spirit Of Shackleton,” from his fantastic new EP “Secrets of the New Explorers.” I love the song, so I thought I’d have some fun with it! Keeping only the vocals and bass, I overdubbed a battery of live percussion tracks (no loops or samples), played some piano and pedal steel guitar, and used a long chain of plug-ins to transform Glen’s lead vocal into arpeggiated blips and bleeps (so that he “accompanies” himself). The result is a blend of acoustic and electronic that I hope you’ll enjoy, and you can download it here for free.
