Cassini spacecraft buzzing one of Saturns moons!
On Wednesday 3/12, the Cassini – Huygens spacecraft will fly close enough to the moon Enceladus to dive into one of its geyser plumes and collect water vapor. Too freaking cool for words. There’s more info about the flyby, the craft, and Saturn’s moons at NASA/JPL’s site, for those of you who are curious, as well as a blog from the team.

I just checked out the link- way cool indeed! Although my favorite moon in the entire solar system has always been Titan.
That really is cool, and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. Plus, I ended up with a new vocabulary word, “albedo.” Ah, my education via Glen continues. I’m not embarrassed to admit I had no idea who Shackleton was until the EP came out. The things a love of music can teach you….
